Description

Extreme insulation for automotive paint. The Ultimate Winter wax.

Collinite Liquid Insulator Wax was originally developed for power companies to protect against high voltage power failure, electrical fires, and explosions. If it stands up to these conditions, imagine how well it will protect your vehicle’s paint.

Collinite has been making car care products since 1912. Collinite is one of those companies whose products have been kept virtually secret outside of professional detailing and body shops, and car show circles. That’s why there is no flashy packaging and labels on Collinite products. The truth is, it’s not really necessary. Collinite products sell themselves.

Collinite Liquid Insulator Wax, for example, is one of the finest liquid carnauba waxes you can buy. It has the shine and wetness of carnauba but its longevity is more like a paint sealant. You can expect up to 4-7 months of protection and incredible water-beading, even on non-garaged vehicles.

Liquid Insulator Wax is in a class all its own when it comes to long-term durability, easy application, and paint enhancement. The liquid car wax was created to insulate electrical components, but it has become one of the foremost liquid car waxes on the market by word-of-mouth of Collinite’s very satisfied customers.

Liquid Insulator Wax is used on automobiles, trucks, buses and aircraft where protection is key, but frequent reapplications are not practical. The wax is excellent for fleets. It leaves a high gloss, nearly indestructible clear coating that repels water, pollution, sun, salt spray, bugs, and more.

Liquid Insulator Wax provides tough protection against adverse weather conditions. It makes a great “winter wax” when you want tough paint protection against road salt, snow and ice, without sacrificing shine. Collinite’s headquarters are in New York where harsh winters are the norm. They know a thing or two about durable paint protection.

In the summer, Insulator Wax stands up to the heat and UV rays better than most carnauba waxes. You can even use 845 on boats to guard the hull against salt water oxidation. Now that’s a tough wax!

Liquid Insulator Wax can be applied by hand or using a dual action polisher equipped with a finishing pad. If applying by hand, simply wipe on Liquid Insulator Wax using a poly foam applicator. It takes very little to cover each panel. Buff with a CrazyDetailer Polishing Cloth. This towel has an excellent grip for removing waxes, and it will make the application of Insulator Wax even quicker. You will find the wax easiest to remove if you apply a thin coat and do not let it completely haze over before buffing.

To apply by machine: work at a low speed with no pressure since you are simply applying a product. Use a microfiber bonnet over a lambswool pad to remove Insulator Wax. Apply wax to one section at a time, wait 30 seconds, and then buff.

This is a true wax with no cleaning properties.

If you’re looking for durability and gloss in a liquid carnauba wax, you can’t go wrong with Collinite Insulator Wax. It has been a favorite at car shows and in body shops for more than 40 years.

Needs no review really(Just google it)
Leaves a smooth finish and lasts long(3 months) even longer than most sealants I have tried.
Smells like oil from very old tools(gives you the impression that the recipe is tried and trusted)

NB! Its an oily substance but if the contents is hard just place the closed bottle in hot water for a minute or so and shake it,dont expect the wax to be lump free,it will always have fine little lumps in the way a good bottle of carnuba wax will have(btw this is how you determine real carnuba wax in a bottle vs a polymer that says its carnuba which is just dyed yellow).
