How to Use the Nasiol Headlight Restorer Kit?

The application process is straightforward and can be completed in a few simple steps. Here’s a step-by-step guide to using the kit:

1. Preparation
Get all tools and materials ready before beginning. Your workspace should be clean, well-lit, free from dust or debris.

Accessing Headlights: Open the hood to expose the headlights completely.
Cleaning Surface: Wash your headlight thoroughly with car shampoo. Rinse well and let the surface dry.
Protect Surrounding Areas: Tape off the edges of the headlight lens with masking tape to prevent accidental scratches or scratching areas of the car body where the product could be applied.

2. Headlight Lens Sanding
Sanding is an important step to remove oxidation and provide a surface for bonding for the product:

Begin Wet Sanding: Wet the headlight lens and scrub gently using sandpapers of 500, 1000, and 2000 grit, in order, until the surface becomes cloudy.
Keep the Lens Wet: Continuously moisten the lens during sanding to prevent scratches.
Clean the Surface: After sanding, use Nasiol Clean or a similar cleaner without isopropyl alcohol to remove residue.

3. Applying the Product
Follow these steps for effective application of the Nasiol Headlight Restorer solution:

Prepare the Product: Gently shake the bottle before opening. Check for crystallization at the neck of the bottle, as this product may crystallize based on its chemical structure.
Dip onto Applicator Pad: Fold the applicator pad provided into the quint fold. Place 1-2 lines of the product onto the pad to apply with precision.
Apply to the Surface: Spread the product lightly over the lens in a single, smooth stroke. Avoid using circular or buffing motions.
Avoid Polishing or Buffing: The product will bond upon direct application after sanding. Any polishing or other processes prior to application will prevent the proper bonding.

4. Curing Time
Proper curing guarantees the durability and effectiveness of the finish:

Drying Period: Store the coated headlights away from direct sun, dust and moisture for the initial 4 hours from the time of application.
Full Curing: Allow 24 hours of full curing process for the nano-coating. In this period, do not come into contact with water as it may stain it. If staining occurs then re-sand the surface of the product with sandpaper.

5. Maintenance and Removal
After it cures, it is very strong and wear resistant:

Tough to remove: The only ways to remove this coating after cure are the use of a heavy cutting compound or wet sand with P1000 grit sandpaper.
Storage: After the application, clean the edges of the bottle and close the lid tightly in order to preserve the product for future application.

Tips
Always wear gloves when working with the product to prevent direct exposure to chemicals.
Ensure that any workspace is free of contaminants that might interfere with the application.
Don’t use the product on new headlights without sanding, as it will not bond properly.

How to use the product

Note: Apply only to clean, dry glass.

1. Remove the cap, press the felt applicator onto the glass and gently squeeze the bottle to let out some liquid.
2. Use the felt applicator to rub the liquid all around the glass. Work on a 50 x 50 cm area at a time.
3. Immediately wipe with a clean, dry towel to spread the liquid over the whole surface and wipe off. Move on to the next area.
4. Note: avoid wetting for 10 minutes after application.
